Hyde Wares was born from an urge to slow down, to design and make a range of leather items that would stand the test of time and grow with the owner. All items are designed and handmade from my workshop at Exchange Place Studios in Sheffield.
I discovered the art of leather crafting whilst living in Portugal, influenced by fantastic local materials and classic design. I am self-taught and began by making items that I wanted to use – sturdy camera straps, a belt that would last until I’m an old man, or a trusty key fob. 10 years later and still with this principle in mind, each new design receives a long test drive before being put on sale.
