Josie Walters, renowned Derbyshire ceramicist returns to P&P this year.
She specialises in once fired slip decorated earthenware, which is raw glazed and fired in an electric kiln. Josie loves to use images inspired by nature, often choosing fruit and vegetables, pigs, hens, birds, fish and rabbits. Her tableware and pots are addictive – adding playfulness and rustic charm to any table. Most of her pots are thrown on a traditional momentum wheel, though many of the finished designs are skilfully shaped into oval or rectangular shapes. She also uses slab techniques.
