We are privileged to be welcoming artist and printmaker Joanna Allen once again to P&P ‘22. We love her work and are sure you will too.
Joanna wanted to share a little bit about herself :-
‘I am an Artist, Printmaker and Textile Designer with a degree in Printed Textiles, and a love of intaglio printmaking.
The starting point for the textile designs is my original artwork, which often including birds, foliage and flowers, often with a romantic magical feel. I sometimes add delicate watercolour, inks, bleach and soft pastels to create a rich and decorative surface.
Selected artworks have a creative transformation in Photoshop before being digitally printed onto 100% silk chiffon and silk crepe de chine to create my collection of luxurious scarves, and onto linens and velvets for my bags and cushions.’
